Serendipity

No, not the John Cusack movie.

I’m talking about that special something that makes for a truly excellent ride. It is as if someone saw fit to gift you with a moment of extraordinary connection with another creature merely by snapping their fingers. It is elusive and fleeting. The moment starts ordinarily enough as you gently push through the nagging discordance and then in an instant, with no warning, your consciousness jitters as two wavelengths soundlessly merge. It is over even before the hairs on your neck finish standing in awe of what you just felt.

The resulting hedonic cocktail of endorphins and adrenaline slowly disperse keeping you quite satiated long after the moment has passed.

I want to paint it, but it can’t be rendered on canvas.
